International Chimpanzee Complex Remedial Evaluation

As an intern at the Indianapolis Zoo, I created an evaluation plan for the new Penny & Jock Fortune International Chimpanzee Complex. I completed over 800 observations and 100 surveys to support future changes, grant support, and internal knowledge about the exhibit. With the data, I created a report to share the findings with key stakeholders. Click on the photo to see an example of an observation sheet I used to gather data.

Museum of Broken Relationships Indianapolis Visitor Experiences Report & Dissemination

As a Loretta Lunsford fellow, I have worked closely with Dr. Lois H. Silverman to share the findings of the Museum of Broken Relationships Indianapolis (MBRI) Visitor Experiences Report, which highlights an evaluation project about the MBRI exhibit in Herron in Spring 2023. To help share the findings, I developed an on-campus tabling event that happened around Valentine’s Day that connected IU Indianapolis students to the exhibit elements that were most engaging, as found by the report. Dr. Silverman, the undergraduate Community Engagement Associate, and I have also been working on creating a workshop for social work students to connect the report findings to the important work that they do. This workshop is scheduled for May 2025.
